Orchard Stewards

What does it take to care for a fruit tree? Become an Orchard Steward and find out for free!

The purpose of this free program is to help people understand how to care for fruit trees in their neighborhoods.

You will learn how to:

  • Prune

  • Fertilize

  • Thin

Students will meet twice a month (2nd and 4th Saturday) with FruitShare staff for hands on experience with fruit trees. Plan to be outside and working. Addresses for each event will be emailed to those registered closer to the day of event (range up to 30 minutes from downtown). All events are based on weather and subject to change.

Attendance Policy: We ask that if you sign up for the Orchard Stewards class you plan to attend as many events as possible. Missing two events during the season is acceptable as long as you let the organizer know when you are unable to attend.

Reserve your spot TODAY and join a cohort of people committed to provide food solutions to Utah! Registration ends February 7th.
