A Note On Pricing
We have never turned anyone away from the symposium because they could not pay our registration fee. In that same spirit this year we are trying an experiment with pricing for early-bird registration. Pay what you can pricing. We realize that many of our members are small organizations that have tight budgets. That's why this year we are asking you to pay whatever you are able.
To help you make this decision we thought it would be good for you to understand the costs of the event. In 2020 the event will cost us about $35,000 to host or $350 per person. So far we have raised $21,500 in sponsorship from our generous supporter's listed below. This means that on average the event costs $135 a person to put on. So if you can afford to pay a little bit more please do so that those who can't can still attend. If you can't afford the $135 please just pay whatever you can. If you can't pay anything come anyway. If you are struggling to cover lodging and travel cost reach out we may be able to help. The bottom line is we want you there so let us know how we can help.
