FruitShare

FruitShare partners with fruit tree owners and community volunteers to harvest and distribute fruit that would otherwise go to waste. Questions about our program? See our FAQ or contact our FruitShare Coordinator at fruitshare@gulb.org.

How it Works:

1. Register your fruit trees. (Note: Orchard is 20+ trees.)

2. When your tree is ready to be harvested, Request a Scout online or at 801-318-1745.

3. A FruitShare staff member and volunteers come out to harvest your trees. The fruit is split three ways:

1/3 Goes to the homeowner

1/3 Goes to the volunteers

1/3 Goes to hunger relief

4. You receive a receipt for the tax-deductible fruit donation.

Additional tree care services are offered

to registered trees for a small fee.

Click on the fruits to see our Fruit Guides!

You can also volunteer with our FruitShare program, and take home a portion of the fruit! See our volunteer page for details.

Do you see fruit going to waste in your neighborhood?

Spread the word about FruitShare by posting and distributing our flyers

FruitShare is made possible in part through a partnership with Salt Lake City who contracts The Green Urban Lunch Box to help reduce food waste.
